Piano Lesson Fees 2018 - 2018 (effective September 1, 2018 - August 31, 2019)

Cast of "Peter and the Wolf"

There are two semesters per year - September 8 through January 31 and February 1 through June 14.  Students choose between 12 and 16 lessons per semester at a cost of $65 per 30-minute lesson; $85 per 45-minute lesson, and $95 per one-hour lesson. Ten-minute Booster Lessons are $25.  The only additional fee is $60 per semester for piano scores.  Two piano recitals are included with no additional charge, typically taking place in February and May.  Adult piano students do not participate in the recitals but are encouraged to participate in other venues, including adult piano student "play dates."

Customized blocks of lessons are available for summer students, adult students, and students enrolling mid-semester.

Cancellations

Lessons ordinarily take place at your assigned time.  By planning ahead, lessons may occasionally be rescheduled on our mutual calendars.  Should the need to change a lesson time arise, students must give at least seven (7) days notice and a makeup lesson within the term will be offered.  I recommend that families think about their vacation and sports schedules with piano lessons in mind at the beginning of the semester and work ahead of time to reschedule lessons if needed.  Missed lessons with less than 7 days notice will be forfeited.  Consequently if a student becomes ill, most likely that lesson will need to be forfeited.  Students can request a copy of the "swap sheet" and attempt to exchange lesson times with another student to avoid forfeiting the lesson.  Please note that if students wish to make up the missed lesson, it must happen within that semester.  Each semester includes ample extra weeks to accommodate individual needs, provided advance planning takes place.  If I need to reschedule a lesson I will give as much notice as possible, offering make-up options to fit your needs.  In the case of weather emergencies, students and teacher need to communicate and reschedule if necessary.
